Common Music Vietnam (UMV), a division of Common Music Group (UMG) has launched Def Jam Vietnam, a brand new home label devoted to supporting Vietnamese hip-hop and rap expertise.

Def Jam Vietnam turns into the sixth nation from the area to affix the worldwide Def Jam household, alongside Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Philippines and Indonesia as a part of Def Jam South East Asia.

Def Jam SEA, which launched in September 2019, follows the blueprint of the long-lasting Def Jam Recordings label.

Since launch, the label has assembled a roster of a number of the hottest rappers from throughout the continent.

Def Jam Vietnam launches with the signing of three of the nation’s quickest rising artists; Obito, SeaChains and Proper.

Obito and SeaChains have garnered over 70 million views on YouTube and 150m streams. Their 2019 singles embrace Easy Love and When You Have a look at Me.

In the meantime, Proper emerged as the primary season winner of the “Bạn Có Tài Mà!” Freestyle Battle.

As a part of the Def Jam Vietnam official launch, Obito premiered his model new single and music video, Misplaced  – produced by DBaola and the Hillus Manufacturing crew.

Following the success of his current single, Friendzone, Misplaced sees the 19-year-old showcasing his trademark clean vocals over a toned-down manufacturing.
