My High 2020 Bestsellers

Happy Tuesday! How are you doing?

The sun FINALLY came out here in Chicago this morning (after what felt like weeks of depressing, grey, dreary weather) and my mood was immediately lifted! I rushed to get dressed and out the door for a walk (not knowing how much precious sunlight I would get to enjoy 😂) I love getting outside first thing in the morning (why don’t I do this to start the day more often?) I shared a few snapshots of my neighborhood walk on stories this morning if you want to join me!

Today I’m rounding up the top sellers of 2020 (that are still fully stocked!)–and luckily, they will all still be quite relevant for 2021. 😉 Unsurprisingly, this list is comprised of comfy, versatile basics and seemingly more random things that brought me (and many of you!) lots of joy over the past year! If you’re in the mood for some retail therapy and searching for something that will make you smile, you’re in the right place!

Had you asked me in January of 2020 what I thought my #1 bestseller of the YEAR would be–I definitely would not have guessed a CANADIAN CRACKLING MAPLE CANDLE! 😂 But it just goes to show, we all needed something comforting and a little kitschy to bring us some joy during this past year. I LOVE IT. The maple scent, the crackling fire sound–hundreds of you purchased one–you can’t beat it.

One of my most worn items over the past several months–I probably get at least 5 dm’s per week from readers thanking me for turning them on to these leggings! They feel EXACTLY like Lululemon Align pants (which is really hard to find) and they come in the best colors, and best of all are almost always on sale–right now they’re $26. I have bought extra pairs as back up for each color too just in case the first pairs wear out–that’s how much I love them! (Though they’ve held up REALLY well so far!)

Sizing: True to size! (I take smalls)

The fleece pictured above! I love the Thread & Supply Wubby Fleeces, but they are expensive and I have gotten requests for more affordable dupes–when I found this one on Amazon I was so excited and knew you would be too–no surprise it became one of my top sellers of the year! It’s fleece-lined (think like a Dudley Stephens inside!) and so cozy.

Sizing: Runs small, I ordered a medium and it fits like a true small (not loose or oversized). Definitely size up at least one size or two if you want it roomy!

Women for Biden call recap

I could NOT have been more overjoyed to see how many of you ordered this Biden Harris collegiate-style sweatshirt. It’s one of my favorites and never fails to bring a smile to my face. It’s also from an Etsy shop and supports a small biz!

Sizing: I ordered a large because I wanted it very oversized. It runs true to size.

I can’t say I owned a lot of joggers pre-pandemic, but I quite enjoyed building my collection in 2020. 😂 These budget-friendly waffle joggers are a standout favorite of mine, and turned out to be a favorite of yours too! They’re so cute, comfy, I love the buttons in the front (they are just for show–it’s an elastic waistband) and they look cute paired with a real sweater on top for a zoom-appropriate WFH outfit! These are ALMOST out of stock, so grab them before they’re gone!

Sizing: TTS, I got smalls but I think mediums also would’ve totally worked

My favorite wireless bra:

These bras at Nordstrom but True & Co’s website has more sizes and more size ranges/similar styles available! I have been LIVING in these bras ever since I got them (I have since kept ordering more and now own 5.) I even sleep in them! They run true to size!

My favorite supportive bra:

I got the Natori Rose bra during the Nordstrom sale when I bought a bunch of Natori bras to compare. Turns out I HATE the feathers bra (the one everyone raves about) but the Rose bra hands down wins the best bra award in the underwire category. It’s so soft and comfortable and doesn’t dig into your skin. Runs TTS.

Another bestseller that doesn’t surprise me in the slightest–Equilibria is maybe the one thing I am always MOST proud to turn you onto because it truly is life-changing, especially with how hard the past year has been. See my full review and reader reviews in this post, but many of you have told me EQ has been instrumental in coping with the stress, anxiety, and uncertainty of 2020 and I’m so thankful to have played a small role in helping you discover something that has improved your lives in that way! (P.S. use code JESSKEYS for 15% off your first purchase!)

This nifty little cold brew maker MADE my summer, and I cannot wait until the weather heats up again so I can pull this guy out of hibernation. It’s sold on Amazon but made by a small, family-owned biz in Wisconsin! (Best of both worlds! 🙌🏻) You’ll want a coarse ground coffee to put into the filter, pop it into the jar, fill it with water, screw the lid on tight, and let it sit overnight. The next morning, remove the filter, and you’ve got yourself a delicious pitcher of cold brew! (It also works with loose leaf tea to make iced tea!)

The most versatile pan in all the land–hundreds of you invested in the Always Pan this year (I declared it the #1 holiday gift of 2020!) It is the pan we use 99% of the time for everything and it’s truly remarkable how easily it just wipes out. No more scrubbing! Hallelujah! Full review of it right over here

2020 was the summer everyone became outdoorsy 😂 so its no surprise everyone jumped on these cute water shoes! My sister in law gave them to me as a gift and I love that they look just like sneakers! They come in so many colors and I always bring them to the beach, camping, anywhere I’m going in the water (because Midwestern beaches are often rocky!)

Not the most riveting of purchases, but these slip-on, no-show socks are the best I’ve found, and it turns out, everyone is always looking for a good pair! I did a whole post on them right here! Come in tons of colors.

Another year in a row, the mumu made the top-seller list. For good reason–it’s truly the best, comfiest, cutest, most affordable summer dress you can find. I have it in many colors, but I think my favorite is this mustard-marigold color. Such a great house dress that is comfy enough to lounge in all day but cute enough to wear out to dinner.

Sizing: The XS fits me best, but it does run a bit small in the bust, so if things are typically tight in the chest for you, I would size up.

The GG community loves a good cocktail. 😉 2020 really sharpened our mixology skills, am I right? Was so happy to see our favorite cocktail cherries made by our friends at Traverse City Whiskey were a top seller this year! You can get them on Amazon (or pickup at their distillery if you’re local to TC!)

Mini Madewell Try-On (all 30% off right now!)

The BEST, cutest cozy cardigan! Have been wearing this nonstop since I got it, as have many of you! Right now it’s on sale again and restocked in most sizes–also comes in a cocoa brown color! Looks so cute with jeans but I also wear it with my Aerie leggings a lot! 😉 Love it layered or buttoned up the front all by itself!

Sizing: Runs TTS, wearing small.

As you know, I am super choosy with brand partners and don’t take on many sponsorships, but my partnership with Blue Apron was definitely one of the highlights of the year! Their meals definitely took a lot of the stress out of cooking, shopping and meal prepping and got us out of our boring weeknight meal rut! See my full review here. So many of you took advantage of the GG reader offer to save $60 on your first 3 boxes that BA secured a spot in my top-sellers list, and I’ve received such great feedback from everyone! (More reader reviews over here!)

Wearing AE jeans above with this sweater (also one of my favorites this season).

I declared AE’s Mom Jeans the best ever pandemic jeans because of their supersoft ultra-comfy denim, their loose fit, and light, happy wash! I have owned these jeans for YEARS but they are almost always out of stock and when they did a big re-stock, I bought them in a size up (AKA my new pandemic size) so I could wear them around the house and feel “dressed” but still super comfortable. I have not regretted this decision in the slightest! P.S. I’m wearing “Cool Classic” wash here–they come in lots of washes!

Sizing: Run TTS. I wear a size 4.

The Magic Truffle Sauce is Back in Stock!

Last but certainly not least, my friend Luca’s Truffle Sauce was a top-seller too! He works at our favorite neighborhood Italian restaurant, Osteria Rusticana, but also owns an Italian imports company. Before the pandemic, he sold directly to restaurants but now he’s put his amazing Italian goods on Amazon for all of us to enjoy! His truffle sauce is my absolute favorite–it is SO GOOD. Delicious all on its own poured over your favorite pasta (I LOVE his Rigatoni) but if you want to make it even more special, add some crumbled Italian sausage and/or some sauteed mushrooms. 😍 Don’t waste this on a weeknight, make it on a slow weekend when you want it to feel like a celebration, because a celebration is exactly what it tastes like! (His Italian olive oil is also a huge favorite–comes in a set of 2!)

Hope you have a great rest of your day!
