The Edo State authorities has mentioned secondary faculties within the state is not going to resume Tuesday, August 4, 2020 as introduced by the Federal Ministry of Training however on Monday, August 10, 2020 for graduating college students.
In an announcement, Commissioner for Training, Jimoh Ijegbai, mentioned solely Senior Secondary Faculty college students in remaining 12 months (SS3) who’ve enrolled for the West Africa Senior Faculty Certificates Examination (WASSCE) and faculties which have enrolled for the NECO Primary Training Certificates Examinations (BECE) are to re-open on Monday, August 10, 2020.
“That is to tell most of the people, notably dad and mom/guardians, college students, Principals, Proprietors of Public and Non-public Secondary faculties in Edo State that faculties is not going to resume on the 4th of August, 2020 as introduced by the Federal Ministry of Training,” Ijegbai mentioned.
“Solely college students in SS3 who’ve enrolled for the WASSCE and faculties who’ve enrolled for the NECO Primary Training Certificates Examinations (BECE) are to re-open on Monday the 10th of August, 2020.That is to allow operators of faculties within the state to finish the modalities for a secure college re-opening,” he mentioned.
Ijegbai mentioned a date for the re-opening of different courses could be introduced sooner or later.
“In the meantime, proprietors of personal faculties are to strictly adjust to the availability of college re-opening pointers obtainable from the Ministry of Training within the 18 Native Authorities Areas of the state,” he added.
