Big congratulations to Rinzing Doma Bhutia for bagging Gold again this year as she successfully managed to dominate the other participant with her confidence and skill.

“ 1st Bodoland International Paragliding Accuracy Championship successfully happened in Dangdufur Hill in Kokrajhar.”

Talking to Rinzing, she said she is happy but she could have given her best in the international round also if she didn't meet with an accident on her first day and fall while landing. She also accepted that on her first day she didn't perform good but on her second day, in spite of being injured, she was able to focus and manage her points comparatively with other women participants and finally, she secured her position for gold in the final flight.

When asked about the accident in which she cut her tongue, she adds "Thank God, at least I am able to talk. But it all got covered. I am happy to maintain my national ranking but I missed being on the international platform. I hope that I recover soon."

1st Bodoland International Accuracy Paragliding Competition, organised by the BTC tourism department saw around 68 paragliders from 9 countries out of which 7 were women from India, Indonesia, and Korea.

Other participating nations were China, Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan, Malaysia, Mongolia, and Nepal. The host nation India had 46 contributors from completely different states like Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim, and so forth. The championship was organised by the Tourism division of Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) administration to advertise journey tourism and sporting area within the area

It was a 4 days affair. On the primary day, there have been three qualification rounds. On the 2nd day, contributors had been given 2 rounds to qualify for finals.
